Eidsvold Saleyards Complex

HISTORY

The Eidsvold saleyards began operation in about 1926, which covered an area of 9 acres. In 1932 a record number of 7482 head were marketed in one day, which indicated the success and growing reputation of the selling complex.

In 2008, TopX Eidsvold purchased the Eidsvold Saleyards from Elders and has been operating monthly and intermittent bi-monthly Store Sales, which services the entire Burnett region.

The Eidsvold region is the self-proclaimed Beef Capital of the Burnett and is recognized as a leading centre for the regional cattle industry. Since the procurement of the Eidsvold saleyards, the success and popularity of this selling complex is evident by its consistent high number of cattle being marketed and continued increasing support.
